The ancient Greeks used to worship the gods and goddesses for centuries and the Olympians, who are a group of 12 gods, were the most important.

Ares: The son of Zeus and Hera is Ares who is the god of war but also regarded as murderous and bloodstained.

Athena: Athena is the goddess of wisdom, war and peace. She is also the goddess of the city, handicrafts, and agriculture and the capital of Greece has her name.

Apollo: The sun god and also the go of music, Apollo is the son of Zeus.

Aphrodite: She is the goddess of desire, love and beauty and her symbols are the dove, tree, swan and rose.

Hermes: He is the fastest of the gods and the god of commerce, gymnastics, and alphabet.

Artemis: The goddess of forest is the twin sister of Apollo and the lady of the wild things and huntsman of the gods.

Hephaestus: He is the god of fire and the forge who uses a volcano as his forge.
